Deciding on my favorite quote of all time is not so simple. First, I have a lot of quotes that I really like. I have posted many of them on my blog. How could I possibly narrow it down to just one quote?

I love to quote Martin Luther King, Jr. He is still so sensible, especially in today’s world.

How about Helen Keller? She is so smart and a great disability rights activist.

Mom’s Delicious Zucchini Bread Recipe

It’s zucchini season in California. At least in my backyard. I have been busy making muffins, brownies, bread, and cookies using the harvest from our garden. This is one of the rare times I will share a recipe. Why? Because I don’t have many original recipes. I’m a big fan of Betty Crocker. I love to bake, but I am a picky eater.

I grew up on this recipe. It was my mom’s, and I’ve never found anything better. But, of course, that is my prejudiced opinion. But you be the judge. Unfortunately, my mom has passed away, so I cannot ask her where she got the recipe, but I believe it was passed down from her mother.

Loving Succulents

When did I start loving succulents? I think it was about fifteen years ago when I decided to expand my collection of succulents from one Christmas Cactus to a total of three different cactus plants. After a while, I decided my plants were boring. So I sold the two I had in a Facebook group and kept my Christmas Cactus.

I changed my mind about five years later and expanded my cactus and succulent collection. Since I wanted to move someday and take them with me, I kept them all in pots. I had fallen in love with them.
